! Come join our Team in Taunton! We're searching for someone who can coordinate schedules, support drivers, and keep our team moving with confidence and accuracy.
Job Summary:
Will perform a variety of assignments relating to scheduling a large fleet of fuel trucks and drivers. Includes Resolution of transportation and customer conflicts, orders, and balances of inventory and cost control. This is a high function position in a fast paced, frequently changing environment. This position requires continuous phone and computer work. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Schedule or dispatch drivers to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones. Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for service or equipment. Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules. Receive or prepare work orders. Relay work orders, messages, or information to or from work crews, supervisors, or field inspectors, using telephones, computer or two-way radios. Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information. Prepare daily work and run schedules. Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required, according to work orders or specifications. Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards. Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules. Education and Skills Requirements High School Diploma, or equivalent 2+ years of prior dispatch experience Fluent Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with familiarity of Access, or other similar database software Able to work independently, as well as work with the Team Ability to multi-task, prioritize and strong attention to detail are required Physical Requirements Able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally Able to bend, stand, walk, sit Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer including keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Friday/Saturday 4:30am
