Dispatcher - RED Logistics, an Amazon Partner

Amazon Delivery Dispatcher for RED Logistics acts as the central hub for delivery operations. They are responsible for coordinating drivers, managing routes in real-time, and ensuring every package reaches its destination efficiently and safely.

Core Responsibilities Route Management :

Dispatch routes using the Amazon interface as soon as they are available and assign them to Delivery Associates (DAs).

Driver Monitoring :

Track real-time progress of all drivers to ensure they are on schedule and provide assistance if they fall behind.

Safety Monitoring :

Monitor of online safety software to insure drivers are obeying all traffic and safety rules.

Logistical Problem-Solving :

Handle on-road issues such as vehicle breakdowns, traffic delays, weather disruptions, or incorrect addresses.

Communication Hub :

Serve as the main point of contact between drivers, Amazon station management, and sometimes customers.

Operational Support :

Coordinate "rescues" (sending one driver to help another with their load) and manage daily driver check-ins and check-outs.

Reporting & Compliance :

Maintain accurate delivery logs, document accidents, and ensure all team members follow Amazon's strict safety and delivery standards.

Key Skills & Requirements Education :

A high school diploma or equivalent is standard; experience in logistics or transportation is often preferred.

Technical Proficiency :

Comfort with dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office tools.

Communication :

Ability to give clear, concise instructions under pressure.

Adaptability :

Capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment where routes change frequently.

Organization :

Strong multitasking skills to manage 40-50+ drivers simultaneously. D•ispatchers must be at least 21 years old• and hold a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Salary, Hours & Work Environment Pay :

Starting salary is $22/hour.

Setting :

On-site at Amazon Delivery Station, 7021

Dorsey Road Hanover, MD Hours :

Hours are Monday - Friday, 2:30pm until 10pm. Hours are subject to change as needed.
