Job Description

Job Summary Are you a high-energy logistics professional who treats every truck like your own business? Do you look at a load board and see a puzzle waiting to be solved for maximum profit? We are a rapidly expanding asset-based carrier experiencing explosive growth. We operate a growing fleet of late-model reefer trucks, and we are looking for a dynamic, driven Senior Reefer Dispatcher to join our team. We do not want an order-taker or a data-entry clerk. We want a seasoned, aggressive hustler who knows how to dominate DAT and Truckstop, build immediate rapport with brokers, and consistently secure top-dollar rates per mile. If you have a proven track record of keeping reefer wheels turning and maximizing fleet revenue, we want to pay you what you are worth.
Salary & Compensation:
Base Salary:
$45,000 - $60,000 (Depending on experience). •
Commission:
Highly aggressive, uncapped percentage-of-load or fleet-gross bonus structure. • Expected Total Earnings (Year 1): $85,000 - $120,000+
What You Will Do:
Book & Negotiate:
Source high-paying reefer loads utilizing DAT One, Truckstop, and direct broker relationships. •
Route & Optimize:
Strategically plan continuous loops for our drivers, booking backhauls well in advance to eliminate deadhead and dwell time. •
Manage Temperature-Sensitive Freight:
Monitor cold-chain compliance, pre-cooling status, setpoints, and continuous vs. start-stop settings. • Solve Problems at
Lightning Speed:
Handle broker disputes, lumpers, detention tracking, and mid-transit reefer alarms with absolute urgency. •
Driver Relations:
Keep our drivers motivated, safe, and rolling by communicating clearly and managing their hours of service (HOS/ELD) effectively. What We Are Looking For (Requirements): •
Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of experience specifically dispatching over-the-road (OTR) reefer fleets (10+ trucks simultaneously). •
Load Board Mastery:
Expert-level proficiency with DAT, Truckstop, and modern TMS software, Motive fleet, reefer monitoring and broker connected software integrations. •
Negotiation Skills:
A proven ability to negotiate broker rates up and aggressively pursue detention, layover, and TONU pay. •
Cold-Chain IQ:
Deep understanding of perishable freight logistics, pulp temps, food safety regulations, and reefer unit operations. •
Availability:
