Dispatch Operators:
$18.03/hr.; 3 weekend shifts available: (Saturdays & Sundays 8 a.m.-4 p.m., 12-8 a.m. or 4 p.m.-12 a.m.)
Responsibilities:
Answer non-911 emergency and non-emergency phone calls Gather information from callers and enter it into the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system Notify and communicate with law enforcement personnel when assistance is needed Monitor security cameras, alarms, radio channels and other notification systems Watch for unusual or concerning activity and report it to law enforcement Maintain accurate records of calls and incidents Work with multiple computer screens, phones and systems Communicate clearly and professionally with officers, staff and the public Handle multiple tasks while staying organized and focused High School Diploma, GED/HiSET Comfortable using computers and learning new software Good communication and listening skills Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail Ability to remain calm and make good decisions when situations arise Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel preferred Typing speed of approximately 35-40 WPM preferred Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening Apply online and/or at 1731 Southridge Drive, Jefferson City. 111026 #BB
