07/27/2026 9:57 AM Be the Calm Behind the Call. Make a Difference Every Shift. The Raymore Communications Center is seeking dedicated, professional individuals to join our team as 911 Dispatchers. Every call you answer has the potential to save a life, provide reassurance during someone's worst moment, or help first responders get where they're needed most. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. Gather critical information quickly and accurately from callers. Dispatch police, fire, and EMS personnel using a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. Prioritize multiple incidents while maintaining situational awareness. Monitor and coordinate radio communications with first responders. Enter and retrieve information from state and national law enforcement databases. Provide clear instructions and reassurance to callers during emergencies. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all calls and dispatched incidents. Work collaboratively with law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and neighboring agencies to ensure effective emergency response. The Communications Center operates 24/7/365 - including nights, holidays, and weekends.

retirement 14 paid holidays 16 hours accrued PTO per month for the first 4 years. $2,500 recruitment incentive at 6 months of successful performance + $2,500 recruitment incentive at 1 year of successful performance for full time positions
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be a United States citizen or authorized alien worker. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Work under pressure and be able to handle stressful situations. Proficient in using computer software, multiple computer applications, and technology in a fast-paced environment. If applicable, pass required testing.
