Position Overview:

We are seeking a Dispatcher/ Assistant to join our operations team. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating drivers, managing freight movements, and ensuring compliance with federal and company safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, decisive, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting the Director of Operations Assign and monitor loads to company drivers and owner-operators. Act as the primary point of contact for drivers during shifts, providing support and guidance. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, HAZMAT requirements, and company safety policies. Monitor and manage electronic logging devices (ELDs), including Hours of Service compliance. Utilize platforms such as Omnitracs and SkyBitz to track and report shipments. Coordinate with customers, brokers, and operations staff to resolve issues quickly. Maintain accurate load, driver, and equipment records. Support emergency response protocols in case of incidents.

Qualifications:

Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations (HAZMAT/AA&E experience a plus). Proficiency with dispatching platforms (Omnitracs, SkyBitz, PCS software a plus). Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
