Job Description

Richmond County Emergency Services is seeking to fill multiple full-time Telecommunicator I positions. This is an entry level position with a built in career ladder. This position is required to work a twelve hour shift. Duties include : receive calls from general public requesting emergency or non-emergency safety services. Dispatch appropriate public safety units and assist in obtaining additional information and locating streets and addresses. Coordinates activities between various public safety agencies. Receives radio/telephone or computer information and makes inquires to obtain information or service of other agencies. Maintain radio contact with safety units and keep continuous records of status of units in and out of service and on cases. Performs related work as required.
Salary :
Starting at $40,650.87.
