We are seeking a highly motivated Retail Sales Associate/Pawnbroker to join our growing company in the exciting world of the pawn industry! Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Associate at Ned's Jewelry and Loan, located in Rockingham, NC. The Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere in the store. Daily tasks include sales transactions, loan transaction, inventory management, maintaining a clean and organized store, and helping customers with product inquiries and concerns. The Sales Associate will also be expected to stay informed about current jewelry, firearm, electronic and small equiptment trends and product knowledge. Recommended Qualifications Customer service and communication skills Sales experience, preferably in a retail setting Basic math and cash handling skills Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work well in a team environment and independently Knowledge of jewelry and precious metals is a plus knowledge of firearms is also a plus

What You'll Be Doing :

Provide enthusiastic and excellent customer service to meet the needs of customers who are buying, selling merchandise, and/or obtaining a loan in a fast paced retail sales environment.

Other essential functions include: Purchasing merchandise from customers, setting up loans, and providing the best financial solution for their needs. Ensuring asset protection through inventory control, proper safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans. Perform general cleaning duties and merchandise displays neatly Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to the store management team Complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data Greet customers as they enter the store. Assist customers with finding and buying items. Regularly clean areas of the store and help keep it looking well-kept.

What You Bring:

You are highly creative in selling items and engaging your customers, possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to think on your feet, and a strong team-player mentality. Your previous experience in retail and/or the pawn industry if aplicable. You have a professional and friendly demeanor, coupled with a 'can-do' attitude to achieve results to exceed sales goals You stay organized, give attention to detail, follow instructions, and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner Your solid written and verbal communication skills make you an effective communicator with customers to identify and serve their needs You are comfortable being around firearms and working in a dynamic retail sales setting.
