Job Description

DESCRIPTION
Wayne Transports Inc. is expanding and looking to add to our team! We are looking to hire a Full-time dispatcher to coordinate drivers, trucks and equipment to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to customers. As a dispatcher you will be reviewing and auditing driver trip sheets for load accuracy and then entering the load information into computer system. You will be responsible to communicate delays, issues, or concerns to customers regarding the load request. Other related tasks as requested by supervisor as needed.
RESPONSBILITIES
Talk to drivers and customers multiple times throughout the day for collecting information about the load they are hauling or have hauled. Provide drivers information on what delivery they are going to make next, what products they are going to load, where they are going to load it, what supplier/Contract# the driver needs to use, and what time the load is supposed to load and deliver at. In-Depth knowledge on what the load requires and make sure that the driver has the right equipment to do the load. Assist drivers with specific instructions on how to get to numerous customer locations throughout the upper Midwest. Utilizes TMW transportation logistics software to create new loads per customer requests and update cancellations to the team. Updates TMW transportation logistics software to record driver pay for ancillary pay such as empty miles, split deliveries, layovers and more. Talks to customers professionally and courteously on what loads they want us to haul and letting them know when we can haul it for them and how many pounds we can haul. General knowledge of Hazmat products and placards the driver will be using. Ability to work as a team with a great attitude towards co-workers to efficiently dispatch our fleet of trucks. Ability to effectively communicate with other dispatchers, customers, and loaders to accommodate their needs. Ability to use a computer proficiently in order to effectively receive loads via fax, emails, or phone calls.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Self-starter, highly motivated, effective problem solver Methodical and detail-oriented Professional Excellent Customer Service Skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least two years dispatch experience Work within the transportation industry. TMW Suite software (by TMW Systems) experience preferred Prior experience with ELD logs.
