Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch intermodal freight shipments using vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems such as Port-Pro, Motive, and other Intermodal APPs. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems and phone call management to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Monitor GPS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and adjust plans proactively to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to DOT regulations. Manage shipping & receiving schedules, freight documentation, and data entry tasks with precision using tools like Port-Pro, Camscanner and Microsoft Office. Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, and compliance documentation for audit readiness. Collaborate with supply chain teams on transportation planning strategies to improve overall logistics efficiency. Handle customer inquiries professionally, providing updates on freight status and resolving issues swiftly through excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Qualifications Proven experience in road transportation operations, dispatching, or logistics coordination or similar setting. Strong understanding of transportation management systems such as Port-Pro Transportation Management or Vehicle Dispatch Software. Familiarity with GPS tracking, fleet management, and transportation planning tools. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) along with data entry accuracy. Knowledge of DOT regulations governing freight transport and vehicle safety standards. Effective communication skills for internal coordination via multi-line phone systems and external customer service interactions. Ability to analyze logistical data for continuous improvement opportunities using analysis skills.
