Responsibilities Receive and prioritize incoming service requests via multi-line phone systems, email, or digital dispatch platforms. Utilize vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management to assign tow trucks efficiently based on location, availability, and urgency. Coordinate with drivers using GPS and GIS tools to optimize routes, monitor vehicle locations, and ensure timely arrivals at roadside incidents or scheduled pickups. Maintain accurate data entry for all dispatch activities, including logging service details, customer information, and freight specifics in internal systems. Communicate clearly with customers via phone call management and phone etiquette to provide updates, gather necessary information, and ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal teams on logistics planning, supply chain coordination, and shipping & receiving processes to support overall fleet management. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards during all dispatching activities. Assist in analyzing transportation data to improve routing efficiency, reduce wait times, and enhance overall road transportation operations. Qualifications Proven experience in dispatching within road transportation or logistics environments; familiarity with vehicle dispatch software such as Vehicle Dispatch Software or Oracle Transportation Management is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively across multiple communication channels including multi-line phone systems and internal communication tools.
