School Bus Dispatcher

School Bus Transportation Company is looking for an Experienced Dispatcher to join our team! Candidates may be needed to work split shift, Monday thru Friday, AM & PM, and oversee Charter work on the weekends. Efficiently schedule and dispatch trips for 75+ buses daily and have previous dispatching experience. Must have School Bus experience and a CDL license. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to present a positive, friendly and professional appearance to work with clients and employees. Extensive data entry, Excel, Microsoft Office and telephone usage will be required. Position will require some driving work and the ability to be flexible.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and assign daily assignments, schedule drivers and bus monitors to ensure daily coverage and assign vehicles as needed Maintain routes and resolve any schedule issues to ensure all routes are covered Resolve and/or recommend solutions to incidents, complaints and accidents Prepare documents such as incident reports, daily dispatch board, etc Knowledge of ADP or other payroll programs Act a point of contact for school personnel, company and parents/caregivers Handle customer concerns and request in a professional manner. CDL class BPS School Bus experience Able to work a split shift

Qualifications:

2 years dispatching experience in School Bus industry School bus experience CDL License with P & S endorsement Experience with Routing Software Experience with Microsoft Suite Customer service Skills Understand how to communicate effectively in a hectic environment Comfortable collaborating with others Follow through on deadlines Solve problems creatively Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities. Ability to work effectively, independently, and in a team environment.

Salary :

Salary is negotiable based upon experience in the School Bus Industry, certifications (SBDI and 19A) must be a CDL holder.

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
