Assistant Requirements/Qualifications Previous dispatching, scheduling, healthcare, transportation, or administrative experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong computer skills and ability to learn scheduling software. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities. Professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to remain calm and organized while managing multiple transportation requests. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information appropriately. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. About the Dispatcher / Administrative Assistant Role As a Dispatcher / Administrative Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Schedule and coordinate non-emergency patient pick-ups and drop-offs between hospitals and healthcare facilities. Coordinate daily transportation schedules and assign trips appropriately. Communicate with hospitals, nursing facilities, medical offices, ambulance crews, patients, and family members as needed. Monitor scheduled transports and adjust schedules when delays, cancellations, or changes occur. Maintain accurate patient transportation records, schedules, and trip details. Enter and update transportation information in computer systems and scheduling software. Answer phones and respond to transportation requests professionally and courteously. Communicate schedule changes and important information to drivers and transportation teams. Follow established procedures regarding patient information and confidentiality. Prioritize multiple transportation requests while maintaining accuracy and excellent customer service. Assist with general administrative duties and office support as needed.
