TRIPS Dispatcher Location:
2317 Countryside Drive, Fremont, OH 43420
Schedule:
Wednesday (7:00 AM
  • 4:00 PM) Friday (7:00 AM
  • 4:00 PM) Saturday (5:30 AM
  • 1:30 PM)
Weekly Hours:
25 hours per week

$21.34 per hour
Position Overview:
Coordinate and schedule transportation services to meet passenger needs while supporting the safe and efficient daily operation of transit services. Utilize scheduling software, communicate with drivers and passengers, monitor trip performance, and assist in resolving service issues to ensure reliable transportation delivery. Why Work for GLCAP? Education:
High school diploma or
GED Experience:
At least three years of transportation dispatching, scheduling, or related experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with customers to arrange transportation using computerized route scheduling software. Serve as back-up driver and maintain on-call status as directed. Monitor, review, and resolve trip alerts in real-time, including no-show alerts and take appropriate action according to procedures. Assist drivers, as needed, in finding destinations and using communication devices (i.e. two-way radios, mobile data terminals, and cell phones) according to department policies and safety protocols. Complete check-in/out procedures including fare and manifest reconciliation with driver to ensure proper documentation is complete and accurate. Maintain proper money handling in conjunction with fiscal procedures. Assist, as needed, with immediate accident and/or emergency communication with appropriate local officials. Maintain effective communication with clients and referral agencies; providing information about agency programs and services. Remain current on Federal, State and Local resources and regulation changes. Document and resolve minor customer complaints/concerns by following appropriate policies and procedures. Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver's license, and maintain a safe driving record. Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use. Initial and periodic physical exams required. Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks. Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
