February 18, 2026 SUMMARY The Ready-Mix Dispatcher coordinates the timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of ready-mix concrete from plant locations to customer job sites. This role serves as a key communication link between customers, drivers, batch plant personnel, and management to ensure efficient operations and high levels of customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The dispatcher is expected to perform all duties in a manner that promotes a safe and healthful work environment and complies with all company policies and procedures. Answer phone calls and emails promptly, accurately, and professionally. Receive and process customer orders, confirming quantity, mix design, delivery time, and job site details. Enter orders accurately and timely into the dispatch system and generate delivery tickets. Adjust dispatch schedules based on changing operational needs, weather, and jobsite conditions. Monitor truck locations and delivery status throughout the day. Communicate regularly with customers, drivers, batch plant operators and management regarding schedules, delays, and issues. Document order changes, delays, and operational issues. Notify concrete division manager of driver start and finish times and operational concerns. Promote safe workplace practices and support company safety initiatives. Suggest value-added products or services. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Abilities Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Basic math skills Computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, etc.) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Regular schedule is Monday through Friday. Saturday work, early mornings, and extended hours may be required based on seasonal and operational needs. Flexibility with start and end times is required. High school diploma or GED Dispatching experience Construction or concrete industry experience Class A or B CDL Knowledge of Holmes or Coshocton County geographic area
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in an office setting with frequent phone and computer use. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to communicate effectively via phone, radio, and in person. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
