Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Freight Coordinator and Dispatcher to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be the vital link ensuring seamless coordination of freight movement, managing fleet PO entry support, and internal communication across our supply chain operations. Your proactive approach will help optimize road transportation operations, manage freight shipments efficiently, and maintain excellent customer service standards. Hours will be 7am-3:30pm M-F with occasional overtime available. We value energetic professionals eager to make a difference in transportation planning, logistics management, and customer satisfaction—your next career move starts here Duties Process trip envelopes to support Driver performance as well as DQ filing. Manage freight data entry, print and distribute UPS/LTL and CPU's. Handle daily dispatching activities for fleet management, including pre calls and load building with vehicle dispatching and routing optimization to maximize efficiency on road transportation operations. Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, customers, and internal teams through multi-line phone systems and phone call management protocols while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Visit the Yard as needed as well. Complete hourly entry of driver payroll mileage Monitor shipping & receiving processes, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and internal policies while managing freight documentation accurately. Support customer service efforts by providing timely updates on shipment status and resolving any transportation-related issues promptly.

Experience Proven experience in road transportation operations or logistics coordination within a supply chain environment. At least 1 year of experience as a Dispatcher responsible for Freight Management. Experience working with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and shipping & receiving procedures. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with data entry accuracy skills. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
