FT Dispatcher - Seeking an adaptable, fast-paced problem solver, who can "think on their feet" while leading the activities of our Drivers. Must be detailed oriented while being able to respond quickly to multiple competing requests. Willing to train the right candidate who offers these core natural skills and abilities along with.... For consideration, candidates MUST have: Solid work history (prior long term periods of employment) -Prior office work experience Experience and comfort in a fast paced office setting Desire to work as a Team Player Strong Computer Skills with proven experience learning new software as learning our Dispatching software is a must. Dispatchers are responsible for dispatching drivers to cover the loads that need to be hauled. Communicates with drivers via cell phone or by our messaging system within our dispatch software. Responds and resolves issues such as driver questions, passenger requests and incidents, vehicle breakdowns and accidents, emergencies, and route-deviations. Communicates as necessary with management and staff and documents the process. Achieves and maintains rapport with drivers by asking questions to gain an understanding of their needs and current situation, answering requests in timely pleasant manner, keeping them informed of policies and procedures, and relaying information to proper departments.
