Job Description
Petroleum Service Dispatcher

What Service dispatch includes:
- Acknowledge dispatches for work orders via e-mail and phone
- capturing customer details, issue type and availability.
- Resource assignment
- Choosing the best technician based on skills, location and availability.
- Scheduling and Routing
- Optimizing travel time and reducing idle time.
- Live Tracking
- Monitoring technician/vehicle status in real time.
- Communication
- Sending updates to customers and technicians.
- Completion & Reporting
- closing the job, logging notes, updating systems.
Position Overview:
The Petroleum Service Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily field operations by assigning jobs, managing schedules, and ensuring timely communication between customers, technicians and internal teams. This role keeps operations running smoothly and supports excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming service requests and determine priority level.
- Assign jobs to technicians based on skills, location and availability.
- Monitor technician status using GPS/Fleet tools (i.e. Verizon Connect)
- Communicate job details, updates and changes to field staff.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, schedules and job progress.
- Provide Customers with updates on arrival times, delays or changes.
- Collaborate with construction, parts and management teams.
- Support emergency or high-priority dispatch situations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in dispatching, scheduling, or customer service.
- Familiarity with fleet management or service software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to stay calm and organized in fast-paced situations.
- Problem solving mindset and attention to detail.
- High level of reliability and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in field service, logistics or transportation.
- Knowledge of local geography.
- Understanding of the services our company provides.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Full-Time position
- Office-based Monday through Friday
- May require occasional evening or weekend availability.

- Competitive hourly or salary pay.
