Job Description
Korth Transfer is a bulk, liquid dairy and water hauling company located in Reedsburg, WI. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-time Weekend Dispatcher. As a Weekend Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and materials, ensuring efficient and timely delivery. This is a critical role in our supply chain operations, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to effectively manage transportation logistics.
Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule the movement of goods and materials using transportation management systems (TMS)
- Dispatch drivers and monitor their progress to ensure on-time delivery
- Utilize GPS and fleet management systems to track vehicles and optimize routes
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates on delivery status
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation operations
- Continuously monitor transportation processes and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Previous experience is NOT required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and customs regulations is a plus The schedule for this position would be: 6-9 months in the office training Monday
- Friday 8am-4pm. After training it would be full time at 36 hours per week Friday
- Monday, in the office Friday 8am-4pm, the weekend on call, in the office Monday 8am-12pm.
