We look forward to evaluating your application. Position Description Duties and Responsibilities Complete schedule for drivers on daily basis according to company needs. Reroute drivers as changes occur throughout the day. Keep communication with plant manager for stockpile material needs. Keep contact with plant manager/foremen to help make sure daily production targets are met. Sign in and hold accountable any lease trucks working for Palmetto Corp. Paperwork revisions/record DOT employee daily hours/enter daily timesheet for payroll. Document, stamp, sign, and regulate any materials that enter or leave Palmetto Corps yards. Document each driver's daily activity onto a daily dispatch log sheet. File for later use if needed Regulate and confirm that all drivers stay within their HOS regulations. Ensure that all drivers adhere to safety guidelines. Ensure all drivers are operating in productive manner….if not, correct and discuss issues. Document all incidents (big or small) and report them to VP of Trucking, safety, and HR. Ensure that all drivers maintain updated DOT Medical Cards and License - submit to HR. Handle any disciplinary issues to Palmetto Corps standard and in a timely manner. Ensure drivers turn in DVIR, work orders, and all bill of laden daily. Monitor Palmetto Corp's GPS system to ensure driver productions to meet Palmetto Corps daily target needs. Good communication with drivers, trucking foreman, crew foreman, plant foreman, and management. Work with Shop Foreman to coordinate truck maintenance as needed. Complete sit times for drivers daily. Answer emails/questions from other departments. Answer phone calls/text as needed (days/nights/weekends) File/send paperwork - disciplinary actions, excuses, etc. Must be able to lift 10lbs or more
