Job Description

Under direct supervision of the Dispatch Supervisor operates equipment and coordinates all emergency calls coming into the Police Department for Police/Fire/EMS services. Position requires constant contact with the public in stressful situations that require clear thinking, calmness, stability, discretion, good judgment, and clearly understandable speaking skills. This position is also responsible for prisoner book-in and prisoner care; maintain prisoner's property while in custody.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED supplemented by specialized technical training. Must be able to meet TCOLE requirements to be licensed with the State of Texas All applicants must pass a hearing test, drug screening test, psychological exam and comprehensive criminal history background check.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid Texas Class C driver's license. Must have and maintain a good driving record in accordance with the driving standards as established by the state of Texas.
