Here's The Role Do you have a call to serve others and want to work for an organization with a mission to help? LCRA is looking for a Public Safety Dispatcher to join our team. As part of LCRA's Public Safety Dispatch team, we are focused on securing critical infrastructure and enforcing laws on the waterways and lands of the LCRA. Your work will focus on three primary functions - dispatching internal resources (law enforcement and security officers), security monitoring (cameras and alarms), and sending notifications to staff about critical incidents. We do not take domestic calls, 911, or EMD. While still very busy, we are quite different from a typical 911 center. We don't schedule by tenure. Everyone rotates shifts and holiday work preferences fairly. We operate on 12 hour shifts. This position is part time and will primarily consist of providing floating coverage for time off and working 2 weekend shifts approximately every other weekend. Answer radio traffic, and non-emergency and emergency phone lines. Monitor various security cameras and alarm systems. Send notifications to LCRA employees about critical incidents.
