• Position Summary
• Assigns motor vehicles and drivers to meet daily operational needs for freight transportation.
• Major Tasks and Responsibilities
• + Sources drivers and equipment to execute operations efficiently.

+ Compiles a list of available vehicles and assigns them appropriately. + Records driver staffing requirements for transportation runs. + Prepares a list of extra drivers available for assignments. + Tracks and records all line haul movement in transportation management applications. + Collaborates with dock operators to plan and move intermodal and purchase transportation loads in a timely manner. + Distributes the transmittal of load tenders and informational transfer to and with purchase transportation and intermodal providers.

• Preferred Qualifications
• + Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. + 5+ years of transportation or dispatch experience. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office and transportation management applications.
