Logistics Dispatcher Job Description The logistics dispatcher is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and communicating with field personnel, drivers, or emergency responders to ensure efficient and timely operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and organized in fast-paced or high-pressure environments. Responsibilities Receive, prioritize, and respond to incoming calls, requests, and service orders. Dispatch drivers, technicians, or field staff based on availability, location, and urgency. Monitor real-time activity using GPS, dispatch software, and communication systems. Maintain accurate logs of calls, assignments, routes, and status updates. Communicate clearly with customers, clients, or the public to gather essential information. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve delays, issues, or service disruptions. Adjust schedules and routes as needed to maximize efficiency. Follow company protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. Provide updates to supervisors and field personnel throughout the shift. Prepare reports, documentation, and shift handoffs as required. Essential Skills Strong verbal communication and active listening. Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure. Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS systems, and computer applications. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Customer service mindset with professionalism and empathy. Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or high-stress situations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic geographic knowledge of the service area. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior dispatching, call center, logistics, or customer service experience preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will be working in an office environment with shifts scheduled from 9 am to 7 pm, Friday through Monday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haltom City, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
