Job Description

Job Function:
The Fab Dispatcher is responsible for managing the real-time flow of wafers and materials within the production line to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. Operating in an hourly shift system, the role involves coordinating logistics, prioritizing workflow, supporting production teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Fab Dispatcher plays a critical role in minimizing bottlenecks, maintaining efficiency, and aligning operations with customer delivery expectations.
Responsibilities:
Operational Execution & Workflow Management Ensure the efficient and timely progress of inventory across the fab, maintaining continuous supply to bottleneck areas Organize and coordinate logistics activities in line with operational targets and site strategic plans Monitor MES (Manufacturing Execution System) priorities and other reporting systems, validate automated dispatching, and get involved when necessary Work closely with Customer Service and Manufacturing Core teams to align priorities and ensure On-Time-Delivery compliance Communicate with Engineering support during the shift to specify required assistance for inventory disposition or tool prioritization Anticipate operational bottlenecks, collaborate with Shift Supervisor to ensure high tool utilization, resolve issues, and escalate when required Assist in troubleshooting dispatch and scheduler system issues to avoid delays Escalate and validate the execution of emergency procedures in case of production disruptions Team & Leadership Coordination Oversee staff activities, ensuring smooth execution of priority lots and critical WIP movements Support and guide team members by providing training and development opportunities Communicate End of Shift pass-down updates, ensuring alignment between shifts and support teams Contribute to a positive work environment, fostering motivation and teamwork among shift members Performance & Monitoring Compliance Monitor Live Fab KPIs to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement Provide feedback on shift performance, identifying key needs and development opportunities Ensure adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory standards
Skills/Competencies:
Familiarity with IT systems and reporting tools, and logistics tracking systems Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Problem-solving techniques: 8D, PDCA, 5W, Ishikawa Goal Oriented, Focused, Flexible and Fast Adapting High Leadership and Ability to make decisions Commitment to the customer with a sense of urgency Dynamism, energy and resilience
Work Environment:
Work near moving mechanical parts Fumes or airborne particles Toxic or caustic chemicals
Required Physical Abilities:
Ability to push/pull an object with 15 ft./lbs. of force Ability to lift and carry various materials up to 25 lbs. Ability to ascend/descend 10 steps Ability to use fine/gross motor skills, as well as, different postural tolerances, including overhead to floor level Ability to sit for up to 3 hours per shift Ability to stand for up to 12hours per shift Ability to walk for up to 12 hours per shift Ability to communicate with others for up to 12hours per shift Ability to use hands to handle or feel for up to 7 hours per shift Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for up to 3 hours per shift Ability to reach with hands or arms for up to 3 hours per shift
Minimum Educational Requirements:
B.S./M.S.
degree in Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
