Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Assistant to support daily logistics and transportation operations in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. This role plays a key part in coordinating deliveries, communicating with drivers, and ensuring schedules run efficiently. Key Responsibilities Assist with dispatching and scheduling deliveries Coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure on-time shipments Track deliveries and provide real-time updates on shipment status Enter and manage data in ERP, dispatch, and inventory systems Prepare reports, schedules, and shipping documentation Handle incoming calls and emails related to logistics and delivery coordination Support problem-solving for delays, route changes, or delivery issues Qualifications Experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or scheduling preferred Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and customer-service focused Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Experience in lumber, building materials, or manufacturing is a plus
