Hours Needed:
12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday and alternating
Saturdays Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Non-Emergency Transportation Dispatcher to join our team. The dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating transportation services for individuals needing non-emergency medical transportation, ensuring timely and safe travel to and from appointments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service. .Must be able to work proficiently with computers. Must be able to thrive in a fast pace environment and adjust to changes as they arise and develop solutions to problems quickly as they arise also. Is aware that their role is the first point of contact for all drivers or customers and must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all time.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and dispatch non-emergency transportation services for patients or clients to medical appointments, dialysis, therapy sessions, or other non-emergency destinations. Communicate clearly with drivers, clients, and healthcare providers to confirm transportation details and resolve any issues. Monitor and track vehicle locations using GPS and scheduling software to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs. Handle phone calls, emails, and booking requests in a professional and courteous manner on a multi-line phone system. Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including scheduling, route changes, and driver logs. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation protocols. Provide customer service support to clients regarding transportation concerns, delays, or cancellations. Collaborate with drivers and management to optimize routes and ensure efficient service. Prioritize calls according to urgency Critical thinking
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
