What You'll Do:

Assign drivers and vehicles for timely delivery of customer orders under general supervision Direct drivers through two-way radio communication and establish service routes for regular customers Coordinate with customers and sales staff to determine preferred delivery times and create delivery schedules Keep records of mileage, fuel usage, repairs, and other delivery-related expenses Address customer concerns/questions regarding deliveries and expedite solutions for missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise

What You'll Need:

High school diploma/GED required Prior scheduling and dispatching experience Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with coworkers and customers Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills for deploying solutions Knowledge of DOT or other requirements regulating work activities Ability to adapt to new situations, always ready to step in to help Strong computer skills in MS Office products About our client: Our client is the nation's largest supplier of structural building products, value-added components, and services to the professional market for new residential construction and repair and remodeling.
