Behind every successful transport is a strong dispatch team keeping our crews, patients, facilities, and operations moving. Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, organized, and confident Dispatcher to join our operations team. Dispatch is the central hub of Angel Rides. You will coordinate daily ambulance operations, answer incoming transportation requests, schedule trips, communicate with healthcare facilities, monitor ambulance locations, and keep our field crews informed throughout their shifts. This is a fast-paced position that requires the ability to manage multiple priorities at once, communicate clearly, and make good decisions when plans change. What You'll Do Answer incoming calls and handle transportation requests professionally and courteously. Schedule and coordinate BLS and ALS ambulance transports. Enter and maintain trip information using company dispatch software. Monitor ambulance locations, crew status, and trip progress in real time. Assign trips based on crew availability, location, level of care, and operational needs. Communicate trip information, changes, ETAs, delays, and other important updates to EMTs, paramedics, and drivers. Communicate with hospitals, nursing facilities, dialysis centers, patients, families, and other healthcare partners. Identify potential scheduling conflicts and adjust assignments or routes when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of calls, trips, cancellations, delays, and other operational communications. Help ensure crews remain productive while maintaining realistic and safe schedules. Work closely with supervisors and field personnel to resolve problems as they arise. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow company policies and applicable privacy requirements. Contribute to a professional, supportive, and team-oriented work environment. What We're Looking For Previous experience in EMS dispatch, medical transportation, logistics, transportation scheduling, or a call center is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong communication and organizational skills who are eager to learn.The ideal candidate:
Is highly organized and comfortable multitasking. Communicates clearly and professionally by phone, text, and computer. Can remain calm when phones are ringing and schedules are changing. Is comfortable making decisions and solving problems quickly. Is dependable and understands the importance of arriving on time for scheduled shifts. Is comfortable learning dispatch, scheduling, routing, and GPS tracking software. Pays close attention to details. Works well with EMTs, paramedics, drivers, supervisors, healthcare facilities, patients, and families. Understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism in healthcare. Can work independently while still being part of a larger team. Schedule 10-12 hour shifts Angel Rides operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Flexible scheduling based on operational needs and availability Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday availability may be needed depending on position and schedule Why Join Angel Rides?
