Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily route planning for all inbound shipments to maximize route efficiency and customer satisfaction/experience. Schedules and assigns tasks for dock planning and setup. Ensures timely delivery of freight. Observes loading and/or unloading of trucks for proper handling and distribution of freight for transport. Supervise operations, procedures, and freight movement. Enforces all safety measures in regard to balance of freight for safe operation of trucks. Enforces compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations. Trains new dock employees and counsels dock personnel with feedback, coaching and discipline as needed for improved job performance. Creates and maintains a teamwork environment with employees. Coordinates drivers and assigns trucks and delivery routes for delivery of freight. Maintains equipment and facility for effective, clean and safe operations. Manage cost goals at all levels of the terminal. Manage satellite terminal Bremerton to include, but not limited, to the following items Morning communication on manpower planning and coverage Daily contact and communication with driver lead and drivers Dispatch coordination for pickups Monitoring and managing metricsSkills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in LTL freight, logistics or transportation. Proven leadership, team building and interpersonal relationship skills. Must have good computer skills (AS/400 & MS Office a plus). Possess excellent verbal, written communication and listening skills. Knowledge of hazardous materials preferred. Must have strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills. Must be available to work up to 50 hours/week average. Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting. Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Benefits:
