Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a motivated entry- level Trucking Dispatcher who will be in part responsible for overseeing the scheduling and dispatching of our fleet of trucks alongside another Dispatcher. In this position, you will work closely with drivers, customers, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of goods. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, monitor driver performance, and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation process. Duties Coordinate and schedule the delivery of goods and materials to customers Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery Communicate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to complete their routes Plan and optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during shipments Maintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions related to shipments Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to increase efficiency and productivity Provide after-hours assistance to drivers on a rotating on-call night and weekend schedule. Skills Previous experience dispatching trucks is a plus Knowledge of or willingness to learn transportation regulations and laws Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office and transportation management systems Strong analysis skills to interpret logistics data, optimize routes, and improve overall dispatching efficiency.
