In this full-time role, you will be responsible for scheduling drivers, dispatching shipments, and ensuring timely and efficient operations. As a member of our operations team, you will monitor and optimize routes for Better Trucks Last Mile, utilizing your detail-oriented and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Morning load out, include sorting packages and building daily driver routes. Scanning, labeling, and sorting packages. Monitoring and optimizing delivery routes. Ensuring Geofence accuracy Promptly resolving package issues. Tracking packages and their statuses (e.g., failed deliveries, age verification, missing packages). Scheduling Independent Contractor Drivers. Ensuring proper driver coverage. Monitor a live chat messaging system Auditing Proof of Delivery (POD) photos.
Qualifications:
Minimum age of 21. Valid Driver's License. Ability to pass a background check and drug test. Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Familiarity with technology for tracking drivers and package status, including GPS and camera capturing software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Sheets, and mass texting platforms. Self-starting, proactive, and initiative-taking. Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent memorization skills. Adaptability to change and flexibility to work varied shifts. Strong accountability and empathy skills. Commitment to treating all co-workers, delivery partners, and customers with respect. Ability to lift 50-70 lbs. Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications:
(Bilingual in English and/or Spanish). Shift (Full-Time):
Shifts:
Shift hours may vary between 6:00am - 6:30pm, depending on staffing needs or whenever daily workload is complete. It is possible that you may have to work longer shifts during peak season.
Operational Days:
Candidates must be adaptable and flexible to work any 7 days out of a week, even though we deliver Monday - Saturday. During peak season or if there are extreme spikes in volume, you may be asked to work on a Sunday.
