Job Description

Position Overview Ace Material Placing Inc. is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our operations team. As the first point of contact for many of our customers and field personnel, you will play a critical role in coordinating the daily scheduling and dispatching of our concrete pump trucks, placing booms, conveyors, and operators throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. Our dispatchers are the backbone of our operation. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to think quickly under pressure, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. Responsibilities Schedule and dispatch concrete pump trucks, conveyors, placing booms, and operators to construction projects based on customer needs and equipment availability. Coordinate daily schedules with customers, contractors, and field personnel to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Monitor job progress throughout the day and make schedule adjustments as weather, traffic, jobsite conditions, or customer demands change. Communicate clearly and professionally with operators, customers, project managers, and office staff via phone, email, and text. Maintain accurate job information, customer records, and dispatch notes within company software. Track equipment and operator locations to ensure timely arrivals and efficient routing. Assist customers with scheduling requests, equipment recommendations, and changes while providing outstanding customer service. Work closely with Operations Management to ensure proper staffing, equipment utilization, and compliance with company policies. Verify operator hours, job completion information, and required documentation for payroll and billing purposes. Coordinate emergency schedule changes and equipment substitutions when necessary. Promote and support Ace Material Placing's commitment to safety by ensuring operators receive accurate job information and follow company procedures. Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while helping support the overall success of daily operations. Qualifications Previous dispatching, scheduling, transportation, construction, or logistics experience preferred. Experience in the concrete, construction, trucking, or heavy equipment industry is a strong plus. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning dispatch and scheduling software. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of DOT regulations, trucking operations, or heavy equipment scheduling is beneficial but not required. Customer-focused mindset with a professional and positive attitude. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
