Job Description

Description Summary The ERT Supervisor oversees the site Emergency Response Team, directing real-time operations during fires, chemical releases, medical emergencies, confined space rescues, weather events, and security incidents. This role manages emergency readiness, safety inspections, permit compliance, and team training, while serving as the primary bridge between shift operations, site leadership, and external emergency services. Responsibilities Emergency Leadership & Response Direct and coordinate team response to site emergencies (fire, HazMat, medical, rescue, weather). Serve as Incident Commander (IC) for site incidents until relieved by senior management or local authorities. Oversee response in
OSHA/NFPA PPE
Levels A-D and direct rescue/first aid operations. Manage external agency coordination (e.g., local fire departments, Onyx support) during specialized HazMat or fire incidents. Supervise evacuation procedures and command site communications (PA system) during events. Program Management & Proactive Oversight Audit safety patrols across all production facilities (Cell, Ingot, Wafer, Module, Utilities, Water Treatment, U-Buildings). Manage site-wide emergency equipment inspection schedules (SCBAs, extinguishers, alarms, gas panels, spill kits, AEDs). Oversee the approval and high-level auditing of hot work, confined space, and LOTO permits. Lead emergency drills (table-top and live evacuation) and drive root-cause incident investigations. Oversee emergency medical response protocols, care standards, and patient transport procedures. Team Leadership & Administration Manage ERT shift schedules, resource allocation, shift logs, and regulatory compliance records. Develop and deliver emergency response training and coaching programs for employees and contractors. Lead after-action reviews (AARs) to continuous improve response strategies and site safety standards. Evaluate ERT member performance, skills maintenance, and ongoing certifications. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Capable of standing and moving throughout facilities for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
