Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Crisis Manager to lead our organization through challenging situations with confidence and clarity. In this vital role, you will coordinate emergency responses, develop strategic plans for crisis prevention, and serve as the primary point of contact during critical incidents. Your leadership will ensure swift, effective action to protect our people, assets, and reputation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by managing complex crises with energy, precision, and professionalism. Duties Lead the organization's response efforts during emergencies, including natural disasters, public health crises, or security threats Develop and implement comprehensive crisis management plans, protocols, and training programs to prepare staff for various scenarios Communicate clearly and confidently with internal teams, external agencies, media outlets, and stakeholders during crises through public speaking engagements and briefings Coordinate volunteer management efforts to support emergency response activities and community outreach initiatives Write detailed grant proposals to secure funding for crisis-related programs and initiatives Oversee program management tasks related to emergency preparedness projects, ensuring timely execution within budget constraints Manage departmental budgets dedicated to crisis response activities while maintaining transparency and accountability Experience Proven leadership experience in crisis or emergency management roles within public health, government agencies, or nonprofit organizations Strong background in public speaking with the ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently under pressure Demonstrated success in volunteer management and coordinating large-scale response teams during emergencies Experience in grant proposal writing to secure funding for crisis-related initiatives or programs Knowledge of program management principles with a focus on emergency preparedness and response strategies Familiarity with budgeting processes related to crisis management operations Deep understanding of public health issues relevant to emergency scenarios and community resilience efforts
