Job Summary The Incident Management Coordinator (IMC) at the Waco Center for Youth (HHSC) is responsible for managing and overseeing incidents involving patient safetysuch as abuse, neglect, or crisis situationsto ensure they are handled quickly, thoroughly, and in compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities Track and manage incidents from start to resolution, including investigations and documentation Ensure patient safety by coordinating immediate protective actions when needed Review and analyze incident data to identify trends and reduce future risks Collaborate across departments (Quality, Risk, Rights Protection, leadership) Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS) Support policy development and updates related to incident management Assist with external audits/investigations and corrective action plans Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of investigations, reporting, and healthcare regulations Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills Ability to interview, assess facts, and make decisions during crises Proficiency with data tracking and Microsoft Office Requirements Bachelors degree (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Nursing) or 4 years of related experience
Preferred:
3+ years in psychiatric healthcare Valid Texas drivers license (or obtain within 90 days) Background check, drug screen, and immunization compliance required Job Details
