This role ensures that all spaces are well-maintained between professional cleanings, properly set up for ministry activities, and securely opened and closed according to the church schedule. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a welcoming and orderly environment for worship, ministry, and community engagement. The role is a part-time hourly position requiring approximately 15-hours per week, with no benefits. The successful candidate will be self-motivated exhibiting professionalism. The candidate must be a team player and be flexible and responsible. The candidate must exhibit a high regard for cleanliness and timeliness. Job Duties Facility Care & Light Cleaning (Between Professional Cleanings) Perform routine light cleaning tasks to maintain a neat and welcoming environment: o Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors as needed o Wipe down surfaces, tables, countertops, and high-touch areas o Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, restocking supplies) o Empty trash and replace liners throughout the facility o Spot clean windows, doors, and walls as necessary o Monitor cleanliness levels and report any deep cleaning or maintenance needs o Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and inform leadership when inventory is low Room Setup & Ministry Support Prepare rooms for various church functions, including: o Worship services o Bible studies o Ministry meetings o Special events o Arrange furniture (chairs, tables, podiums, etc.) according to event needs o Set up and reset rooms before and after use o Ensure spaces are organized, presentable, and ready on time o Coordinate with ministry leaders regarding setup requirements Opening & Closing the Church

• Open the facility as scheduled: o Unlock doors and disarm security systems o Turn on lights, adjust thermostats, and prepare spaces for use
• Close the facility after events: o Ensure all rooms are clean and reset o Turn off lights and equipment o Lock doors and secure all entry points o Arm security system o Conduct walkthroughs to ensure building safety and readiness General Facility Oversight
• Identify and report maintenance or repair issues (lighting, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
• Assist with minor upkeep tasks (changing light bulbs, basic troubleshooting, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures
• Maintain a respectful and quiet environment during ministry activities Job Requirements Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in custodial, facilities, or building support roles is a plus
• Basic knowledge of cleaning practices and facility care Skills & Abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Good time management and reliability
• Ability to lift/move furniture and equipment (up to 30-50 lbs)
