Facilities Supervisor Pay:
$95,000+ yearly salary (Dependent on experience) Job Description The Facilities Supervisor oversees the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of a large manufacturing facility, ensuring that building structures, utilities, and equipment function reliably and efficiently. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, including supervising a team of technicians and coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the site. Responsibilities Maintain and repair facility structures and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation of the manufacturing site. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including plumbing systems and fixtures, piping, electrical systems, building controls, CDA compressors, and HVAC equipment. Perform regular preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life. Use Microsoft Office and maintenance software to document, prioritize, and track work orders and maintenance tasks. Operate a forklift to support facilities-related duties, such as moving materials, equipment, and supplies as needed. Supervise a team of technicians and janitorial staff, providing direction, support, and oversight to ensure timely and high-quality completion of work. Delegate tasks effectively to team members based on skills, workload, and priority, ensuring efficient use of resources. Manage construction and maintenance activities related to equipment and facility upgrades, modifications, and repairs. Lead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and best practices during all maintenance and repair activities. Collaborate with operations and other departments to schedule maintenance work and minimize disruption to production. Monitor facility conditions and proactively identify opportunities for improvement, repair, or optimization. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience managing facilities in a large manufacturing environment. Strong background in facilities maintenance and facility management. Hands-on mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of building and equipment issues. Experience with electrical systems, including basic troubleshooting and repair in a facility setting. Proficiency in plumbing maintenance and repair, including piping and fixtures. Practical experience with HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and repair. Proven experience managing construction and maintenance projects for equipment and facilities. Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise large teams of technicians and janitorial staff. Experience in carpentry and general building repairs. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical, electrical, and building systems. Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management software to manage tasks and documentation. Capability and willingness to operate a forklift to support facilities operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications HVAC certification or license is desired. Electrician certification or license is desired. Plumbing or pipefitter certification or license is desired. Experience coordinating with contractors and vendors for facility and equipment work. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Work Environment This role is based in a large manufacturing facility, working closely with building systems, production areas, and support spaces. The Facilities Supervisor works with a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment, as well as building controls and CDA compressors. The position uses Microsoft Office and maintenance management software daily to manage work orders and documentation. Operating a forklift is part of the regular duties, and the work often involves being on the facility floor, moving between different areas, and responding to maintenance needs as they arise. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, requiring adherence to safety practices and appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial and maintenance setting. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
