Daughter Project Girls Home (DPGH) Organization Global Family Care Network is a non-profit organization operating in the United States, Canada, El Salvador, France, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Founded in 2007, we aim to protect children and preserve families around the world by providing alternative, family-based care for children who are abandoned, abused, and exploited. Daughter Project Girls Home (DPGH) is a branch of Global Family that provides crisis and intervention care for individuals who are identified as commercially sexually exploited children (CSEC), homeless, runaways, or otherwise in need of short-term shelter and care. The shelter home provides specialized services that meet the complex needs of CSEC as well as a safe environment conducive to healing from any trauma. DPGH is a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) which means it is an intensive-care living facility for adolescent females who have high emotional and mental health needs. We are a facility which focuses on recovery for females who have experienced (or are at high risk of experiencing) Child Sexual Exploitation. Staff engage in trauma-informed care practices, including positive reinforcement and client-centered problem solving. Facility guidelines are set by both state and county agencies, and the ability to balance attention to both administrative detail and caring for the girls is essential to the work. Staff must be prepared to de-escalate stressful situations and respond to situations with appropriate procedures. Successful candidates need to possess a valid CA driving license, along with providing a current dmv record report, and must undergo an extensive criminal background check by the State of California, Department of Social Services (CDSS) prior to hire. Candidates who are not already listed in the state background clearance system will need to submit for this clearance at their own expense (currently costing around $120) with reimbursement for background check fees issued by DPGH after 30 days of gainful employment. Location Bakersfield, California Position The Facility Manager will play a pivotal role in Global Family's DPGH program operations. The Facility Manager will oversee the DPGH in compliance with State/Federal Regulations and approved program design. Facility Managers work a straight 8 or 10-hour shift (paid lunch.) The Facility Manager will report directly to the Senior FM and Administrative Assistant Current Openings as of 3/31/26 Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday 10:00pm
- 8am Responsibilitie The Facility Manager will ensure efficient program operations of the DPGH. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide oversight of DPGH day-to-day operations
- Serve as a DPGH representative (licensing, oversight agencies, families, etc.) as requested by upper management
- Complete client paperwork in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Oversee and maintain regulatory and compliance requirements; and audit client files
- Assessment of the facility operations and program; and identifying strategic initiatives for program improvement.
- Fill a direct care shift and perform direct care work/supervise childcare workers in performing direct care service
- Assist in developing and instituting daily routines (activities, meals, etc.) at the DPGH in accordance with applicable regulations and the DPGH Program Statement
- Assist youth in their day-to-day routine and encourage youth to participate in programs
- Complete client progress notes and other required documentation
- Escorts and/or arranges clients to appointments and events as necessary
- Performs upkeep of the DPGH facility and environment
- Provide a positive, safe, and creative environment conducive to healing
- Promote a home-like environment that teaches youth independent living skills
- Identify client needs and collaborate with DPGH staff members to connect clients to services needed
- Work with youth in an empathetic, nonjudgmental, client-centered, and trauma-informed manner
- Provide on-call coverage at least one day per week

- Update all menus for scheduled shift days for upcoming month (due by 25th of each month)

- Prepare menu dinner (with 1 or 2 clients when possible) on assigned days, as well as enjoy meal with clients, and clean up after meal.

Send list of needed items via email, before weekly Sunday morning food order is placed Qualifications Associates Degree and a minimum of two-year experience working with high-risk youth. Experience working with CSEC and at-risk youth. Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to be self-motivated and disciplined. Excellent time management skills and abilities to multi-task and prioritize. Knowledge in software applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Valid California driver license with good driving history. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
