Direct Care Worker/ Facility Manager

Summary:

Responsible for the day-to-day care, supervision, and support of youth participating in the Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). This role ensures a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment that promotes the well-being, development, and treatment progress of all youth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned as needed.) Direct Care & Supervision Provide care, supervision, observation, and protection of youth within a trauma-informed care framework. Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment aligned with STRTP program standards. Establish and enforce appropriate behavioral expectations and interventions. Respond effectively to crisis situations, including those involving medical, mental health, or law enforcement support. Program Knowledge & Implementation Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the Continuum of Care Reform (CCR) and STRTP goals and objectives. Implement individualized treatment plans and program activities as directed. Participate in group counseling sessions, treatment planning meetings, and required trainings. Youth Development & Support Support youth in developing daily living, self-care, and independent living skills. Promote positive interpersonal communication and social skills development. Provide guidance on appropriate health, hygiene, and personal habits. Plan, lead, and participate in recreational and structured activities. Household & Daily Living Responsibilities Perform and supervise household duties, including meal planning, food preparation, cooking, and cleaning. Guide and supervise youth in completing chores and learning basic life skills. Maintain inventory of youth clothing, linens, and household supplies. Oversee youth clothing care, including laundry and organization. Documentation & Reporting Complete daily logs, incident reports, and required documentation accurately and timely. Submit daily youth counts and reports to appropriate regulatory agencies. Communication & Coordination Act as a liaison with authorized representatives, community members, school personnel, and other stakeholders as needed. Collaborate with Case Managers and Program Directors to support case planning, service delivery, and program goals. Transportation & Medical Support Transport youth to medical, dental, educational, and program-related appointments as required. Administer medications and provide minor first aid in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Additional Responsibilities Maintain a clear understanding of the population served and adapt to the needs of youth in a congregate care setting. Support compliance with all STRTP regulations, agency policies, and program requirements.
