West Position Overview:
Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled, maintaining the predetermined completion ratio. Maintains mechanical spaces, as needed to ensure cosmetic appearance. Completes basic preventative maintenance, cleaning and general replacement of parts not requiring certification or advanced training.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of all building components (i.e., boilers, fuels, piping systems, roof building structures, air conditioning systems, grounds etc.) Able to read, write, and speak the English Language. Develops through training program and then exhibits complete knowledge of the system, theory and procedures for repair and maintenance in one of the following areas: electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration, pressure vessel boiler, plumbing and carpentry. Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of electrical theory and procedures for repairing and maintaining the system. Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating control systems, including air balance and system calibration procedures for repair and maintenance. Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and procedures for repair and maintenance. Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of procedures, materials and tools used in commercial building remodels and cabinet construction. Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of uniform electrical and building codes. Develops through training program and then exhibits considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building and mechanical trades. Develops through training program and then exhibits through knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials used in the building trades. Develops through training program and then exhibits ability to inspect systems and buildings to detect existing or potential problems. Develops through training program and then exhibits ability to read and understand blueprints. Develops through training program and then exhibits ability to analyze situations and develop an effective course of action.
TRAVEL:
Travel is required as needed between Benecia, Brownsville, Davis, Fairfield, Solano, Vacaville, Vallejo, Winters, Woodland, and Yuba City locations.
