Job Description The Facilities Technician works as part of the Facility Team to support the maintenance, operation, EH&S, and overall upkeep of building systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for coordinating routine and corrective maintenance activities, supporting vendor management, and ensuring facility issues are addressed promptly and safely. The Facilities Technician will work indirectly with third‑party vendors and contractors supporting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building access/locks, and other facility‑related services. The technician must be available to respond to facility emergencies (e.g., HVAC failures, leaks, power issues), assess issues onsite, and coordinate emergency repairs as needed. The role includes performing regular facility assessments, identifying maintenance needs, and ensuring timely resolutions to support safe, compliant, and uninterrupted operations. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of buildings, systems and equipment to identify issues, ensure operational efficiency and maintain a safe, functional facility Conduct general building maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC adjustments, carpentry, and light construction tasks Repair malfunctioning equipment and damaged structural components, and address plumbing issues such as leaks or breakages Repaint and maintain building surfaces as needed to ensure clean, professional appearance Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually Preventative Maintenance tasks Coordinate and oversee vendors and contractors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, locks, and general building services Track, document and report facility issues, work orders, and corrective actions; maintain accurate and organized maintenance records Ensure work is performed in compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards Support facility improvements projects, compliance activities and general operational needs assigned to support facility operations Prepare offices and workstations for occupancy including set-ups and ensure all furniture and equipment are fully operational, adjusting as needed. Perform Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) tasks, including inspections of eyewash stations, first aid cabinets, and hazardous waste storage areas to ensure regulatory compliance Support the facility's waste management and sustainability programs Support overall facility operations and perform other duties as assigned Must be able to work flexible hours including weekend work. Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments required Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance experience Working knowledge of basic electrical systems (amps, wiring, conduit) Ability to use a wide range of hand tools and equipment Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Organized with strong documentation and communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Positive attitude with a teachable mindset and willingness to learn
Salary Range:
$39,000.00-$52,000.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
