Harbor Care Foundation is a nonprofit recuperative care organization providing short-term residential care to individuals experiencing homelessness who are recovering from illness or injury. We offer a healing, trauma-informed environment, housing-focused case management, and freshly prepared meals. Our Lancaster facility is our second site, expanding our mission to restore health, dignity, and independence to the most vulnerable in our community.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a committed, compassionate, and highly accountable Floor Manager to oversee daily operations at our 23-bed recuperative care facility in Lancaster. The Floor Manager will supervise and coordinate the efforts of the Care Unit, Case Management, Kitchen, and overall facility operations to ensure exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and resident care. This position requires a strong leader who takes ownership of the day-to-day success, upkeep, organization, and efficiency of the facility. The Floor Manager is expected to proactively identify operational needs, maintain high standards across departments, ensure accountability among staff, and foster a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents and employees alike. This is a salaried position requiring flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, or emergencies as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily oversight of staff and programming across care, case management, and kitchen departments. Take ownership of the overall efficiency, organization, cleanliness, safety, and operational performance of the facility. Ensure the facility remains well-maintained, fully operational, and compliant with all applicable standards and regulations. Interview, hire, onboard, and train new team members across all departments in alignment with Harbor Care's policies and mission. Ensure consistent coordination of resident care, including medication management, follow-up appointments, and personalized services. Manage staffing schedules and resolve immediate personnel or resident-related concerns on-site. Oversee the upkeep, safety, cleanliness, and overall operation of the facility. Communicate with vendors and service providers to ensure the facility is operating efficiently and all maintenance needs are addressed in a timely manner. Place and manage supply orders to ensure the facility remains stocked with essential items and materials. Track facility permits, inspections, and certifications, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure a cohesive, resident-centered approach. Participate in incident resolution, disciplinary action, and compliance reviews. Maintain clear documentation and reporting using tools like Teams, PointClickCare, and shift logs. Process and manage biweekly payroll using Paychex Flex, ensuring accurate time reporting and pay for assigned staff. Support ongoing staff training and professional development, reinforcing HCF's core values and trauma-informed principles. Perform additional duties as necessary to support the operation and mission of the organization.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; LVN license, or equivalent healthcare certification required. At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare, homeless services, recuperative care, or residential care setting. Experience in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and supervising staff. Familiarity with medication coordination and resident care oversight preferred. Familiarity with Paychex Flex or similar payroll platforms preferred. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience with facility management, vendor coordination, and supply procurement strongly preferred. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and facility permit tracking preferred. Ability to take initiative, solve problems independently, and maintain accountability for facility operations. Valid California driver's license and insurable under agency policy. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must be comfortable working in a faith-based environment guided by Christian values.

Work Environment:
This is an in-person position at a 24/7 facility. Candidates must be available for emergency calls or to come in as needed outside of scheduled hours. The Floor Manager will be expected to lead by example, take ownership of facility operations, foster collaboration, and maintain a culture of excellence, accountability, and respect.

$70,304.00 - $71,000.00 per year
