About the Role Step into a leadership opportunity where each day brings new challenges and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will support two leased facilities in Long Beach totaling approximately 260,000 square feet, supporting one of our clients in the Industrial, Logistics & Defense sector. These diverse facilities include testing areas, laboratory space, large garages, and traditional office environments, requiring a well-rounded facilities professional who can effectively manage a variety of operational and workplace needs. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering both essential facilities services and a high-touch, concierge-level workplace experience. Beyond day-to-day facilities management, you will take on a strategic leadership role with responsibilities that include maintenance planning, capital project oversight, space planning, occupancy planning, and vendor management. As part of our Facilities Management team, you will partner closely with client stakeholders, Property Managers, and landlords to drive operational excellence across both locations. You will ensure the facilities operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably while supporting critical business operations and delivering an exceptional workplace experience.
What You'll Do:
Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance performed by vendors, and contractors. Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues. Prepare and manage capital and operating projects. Manage all aspects of budget development, implementation and monitoring. Perform facility inspections, following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities. Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities. Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices. Provide formal supervision for employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with

values. Influence stakeholders to achieve consensus. Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be apparent in existing systems and processes.
What You'll Need:
Proven experience managing commercial facilities, including daily operations, maintenance activities, regulatory compliance, and vendor oversight Demonstrated people‑leadership experience, including supervising onsite teams, setting performance expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and driving accountability Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience; equivalent education and experience will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facilities Management certification preferred Experience developing, managing, and tracking operating budgets Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams, vendors, and clients Ability to navigate sensitive or complex situations, resolve issues, and influence outcomes Experience with occupancy planning and space planning preferred Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong technical aptitude. Preferred working knowledge of AutoCAD and Tririga Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive, problem‑solving mindset Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial metrics Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future Why CBRE?
