Help Keep Our Schools Safe, Functional & Ready for Students Green Dot Public Schools is looking for an experienced, dependable Facilities Associate to support our Los Angeles schools. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, making repairs, solving problems, and helping maintain safe and welcoming environments for students and staff. If you have experience in general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, furniture repair, or other building maintenance , we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do As a Facilities Associate, you'll work closely with our Facilities Manager and school teams to: Perform general facility maintenance and light repairs across Green Dot school sites Troubleshoot and address basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, lock, furniture, carpet, and roofing issues Respond to and track maintenance requests using our work order system Proactively identify maintenance and safety needs before they become larger issues Help ensure school facilities remain clean, safe, functional, and compliant Oversee and coordinate work performed by custodial staff Coordinate with outside vendors when additional repairs or services are needed Travel between Green Dot school locations throughout Los Angeles as needed Assist with facility-related emergencies and special projects What We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Have a high school diploma or GED. Trade certifications or licenses are a plus, but are not required. Have at least 3 years of facilities, building maintenance, or similar hands-on experience Are comfortable regularly using hand and power tools Have experience with general repairs such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, locks, furniture, or similar maintenance work Can independently troubleshoot problems and complete repairs in a timely manner Have strong communication and customer-service skills Are comfortable using basic computer systems Can lift at least 50 lbs. and regularly bend, squat, kneel, stand, walk, and climb ladders up to 6 feet Have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, auto insurance, and access to a reliable personal vehicle Can travel between Green Dot school locations throughout Los Angeles Are available for occasional overtime, weekends, and facility emergencies as needed Candidates must successfully complete a TB test and background check upon offer. Compensation & Benefits The starting hourly rate is $23.19-$25.05 , based on education.
