Job Description
The Facilities Specialist is responsible for performing a wide range of preventive and corrective maintenance activities to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facilities and equipment. This role ensures buildings, systems, and assets are maintained to company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. The Facilities Specialist works independently and in coordination with management, vendors, and operations teams to minimize downtime, address repair needs, and support a positive guest and employee experience. The position includes but is not limited to the following key responsibilities: Perform routine preventive maintenance and timely corrective repairs on building systems, equipment, and fixtures. Preform Work on Kitchen equipment, such as Fryers, walk-in coolers, reach in/under counter/hot ovens. Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance issues. Able to diagnose basic HVAC repairs such as filter change out, belt replacement, compressors etc. Conduct facility inspections, identify deficiencies, and recommend or implement corrective actions. Respond to maintenance requests and service calls in a timely and professional manner. Ensure compliance with safety standards, fire/life safety requirements, and company policies. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed and monitor quality of work performed. Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and materials used. Support emergency repairs and on-call coverage as required. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in restaurant or commercial facilities environments. 2-3 years of experience using a CMMS system (Work Order Management System). Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems. Experience maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, including fryers, ovens, and walk-in coolers. Ability to read technical manuals and basic schematics. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between restaurant locations. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical maintenance work. Strong troubleshooting, time management, and communication skills. EPA Certification or HVAC technical training preferred.
