Position Description:
The Technician II supports facilities maintenance, construction, and small-scale building improvement projects that enable safe, efficient, and functional work environments at Applied Medical. The Technician II performs hands-on work related to facility upgrades, space modifications, and general construction tasks while collaborating with facilities teams and project leads to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards. This role contributes to facility operations through technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality system requirements within a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with and execute small to mid-sized facilities projects, including space modifications, office improvements, and building upgrades. Perform construction and maintenance tasks such as framing, carpentry, drywall installation and repair, flooring, and minor concrete or masonry work. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned facilities and construction tasks. Read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, and work instructions to support accurate project execution. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in alignment with workplace safety standards and facilities practices. Troubleshoot minor construction or equipment issues and escalate complex problems to project leads or facilities leadership. Collaborate with technicians, project leads, and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality expectations. Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and quality systems (QS) requirements and comply with safety regulations and company policies. Success in This Role Looks Like Complete facilities projects and maintenance tasks on time while meeting quality and safety standards. Demonstrate strong technical skill in construction, maintenance, and building improvement work. Maintain organized workspaces and adhere to safety procedures that support a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with facilities teams and project leads to ensure alignment on project scope and timelines. Identify and resolve minor issues efficiently while escalating complex challenges appropriately. Contribute to reliable and well-maintained facilities that support daily business and operational needs.
Position Requirements:
This Position Requires the Following Skills and Attributes Minimum of two years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or related technical work Demonstrated knowledge of basic construction techniques related to building improvements and facility upgrades Ability to safely operate common hand tools and power tools, including drills, saws, levels, and sanders Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans, layouts, and work instructions Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to fifty pounds and standing or moving for extended periods Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to follow standard operating procedures, quality systems requirements, and workplace safety guidelines Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred:
The Following Skills and Attributes Are Preferred Experience supporting facilities projects within manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environments Exposure to building systems maintenance and general facility operations Familiarity with workplace safety standards and construction best practices in commercial or industrial settings
