12Months Position Summary:
The Facilities Technician will support a rapidly growing research and development lab and office facilities while assisting with cGMP building operations. The role focuses on maintaining building systems, supporting lab operations, troubleshooting facility issues, and ensuring uninterrupted operations in both R D and manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Maintain and support facility utilities including HVAC, compressed air, vacuum systems, CO2 systems, and access control systems. Troubleshoot operational issues and analyze work orders impacting facility operations. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for scheduled and emergency maintenance. Conduct preventive maintenance rounds and maintain associated logs/documentation. Respond to alarms from Building Management Systems. Support asset tagging and inventory management activities. Perform standard repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Maintain maintenance documentation within CMMS systems. Follow SOPs and cGMP documentation practices. Support workplace safety and environmental compliance initiatives. Provide strong customer service to internal stakeholders. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 4+ years of facilities maintenance experience. Experience with Siemens Desigo BMS or similar Building Management Systems. Experience supporting building utilities and mechanical systems. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office and Outlook skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Preferred Qualifications Biotech, pharmaceutical, or laboratory facilities experience. cGMP environment exposure. Military technical training.
