Job Title:

Facilities Specialist - Level 1Job Description As a Facilities Specialist - Level 1, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Property & Facilities Management team. You will engage with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure the seamless completion of facility tasks and work orders, aiding the Property Managers with repairs and investment plans. This position is in-person and located in San Mateo. Responsibilities

+ Provide hands-on support for the mail room and events.

+ Move and arrange furniture as needed.

+ Manage and organize the calendar for facility-related activities.

+ Acknowledge all client inquiries and collect work orders.

+ File work orders, proposals, department files, and vendor paperwork.

+ Monitor outside activities, ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling.

+ Follow instructions and ask clarifying questions when necessary.

+ Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients and coworkers.

+ Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.

+ Deliver output by following defined procedures under supervision. Essential Skills

+ Safety-minded approach to tasks.

+ Ability to multitask effectively.

+ Experience with hand tools.

+ Basic math skills for simple calculations. + 1-2 years of job-related experience.

+ High School Diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Advanced hand tool knowledge is a plus.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

+ Excellent customer service skills.

+ Ability to work well with others and take direction. Work Environment This is a client-facing role located in San Mateo, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The candidate will work closely with a team, providing support for mail room operations and events. The role involves physical tasks such as moving furniture and requires a safety-minded approach. Dress code is typical business casual. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Mateo, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
