Minimum 5 Years | Acute Care Hospital Facility Experience Required About the Role San Luis Valley Health is seeking an experienced Director of Facilities to lead Plant Operations, Environmental Services (EVS), and Grounds operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of hospital facilities while supporting quality patient care through effective facilities management and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Lead and oversee Plant Operations, Maintenance, Environmental Services, and Grounds departments. Direct facility maintenance activities, including utility systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS, and local building and fire codes. Supervise facility inspections, preventive maintenance programs, and contractor performance. Collaborate with hospital departments to assess facility needs and implement operational improvements. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of personnel management experience. Acute care hospital facility experience required. Thorough knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler operations, carpentry, environmental services, life safety codes, and building maintenance. Ability to apply engineering principles, troubleshoot facility systems, and manage regulatory compliance.
